Sean Turner

Sean Turner has over 16 years of expertise in executive recruitment at all levels of retained, exclusive and contingency search.  His diverse background offers multiple focus areas including Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Marketing, Operations and Sales.  Sean brings an unparalleled and authentic approach to partnership which is what separates him from the rest of industry. He believes in an honest, transparent approach and will always do what’s best for his clients and candidates.

Sean moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 2004 and began his professional recruiting career with a boutique search firm placing finance and accounting talent with leading publicly traded and privately held Fortune 500 organizations, middle market, and early stage businesses.  He quickly climbed the ranks and was consistently recognized as a leading producer within the organization. In 2011 Sean joined Jumpstart which is a venture development organization, combining the principles of venture capital and economic development to help entrepreneurs start and grow companies.  Sean partnered with the JumpStart portfolio companies and clients to guide and educate entrepreneurs on the best practices surrounding talent acquisition, as well as leading the recruiting efforts to ensure optimal talent was sourced and hired for key positions within their companies. In 2013 Sean joined a northeast Ohio based entrepreneurial search firm where he was responsible for Business Development and providing direct recruiting assistance for publicly traded, privately held, private equity backed high-growth, and emerging companies.

Sean Co-founded Peerless with longtime competitors Robb Christenson and Chuck Nauman. The foundation of Peerless is based on trusted partnerships, transparency and authenticity. Sean strives to serve Peerless clients with the same passion, integrity and tenacity which have defined his career.

Robb Christenson


Co-Founder and Partner

Robb started his recruiting career in 2006 with a Fortune 500 company.  He quickly advanced as an individual contributor and then moved into leadership roles within the company.  His career in leadership spanned from Louisville, KY, Lexington, KY, and Columbus, OH in progressively bigger roles within the organization.  

In 2013 he joined a national recruiting and consulting firm and opened up their first office in Louisville, KY.  After a year there and with a new child on the way, Robb elected to move back to Columbus to serve as a Partner over their financial talent solutions practices.  The divisions all experienced tremendous growth and became top performers within the company.  

Robb has a well-rounded background that he believes serves his clients well.  He has run searches ranging from CEO to new grads and has portions of his career handling contract and consulting needs to executive search.  His range of search expertise covers Finance, Accounting, IT, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, Human Resources. and Talent Acquisition.

The foundation of Peerless is based on trusted partnerships.  Robb joined up with two trusted partners, in Chuck Nauman and Sean Turner to start Peerless Search Partners.  Along with his partners, he believes their years of industry expertise and ability to be quick, accurate, and multi-faceted, separates them from so many others in the recruiting landscape.  Most importantly, Robb has built a career on authenticity and relationship building and that tradition carries on at Peerless.  

Robb has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and resides in Columbus, OH with his wife and two kids.  If he’s not coaching or at one of his daughter’s basketball or softball games, you can find Robb cheering on all his favorite Wisconsin sports teams or tearing up a golf course with his horrendous swing. Chuck Nauman


Co-Founder and Partner

Chuck Nauman, Co-Founder & Partner – Chuck has over 15 years of recruiting experience. Chuck started with a national recruiting firm in 2005 and became an award winning, multimillion-dollar producer. His search experience includes Executive-level, Senior Staff and Consulting / Staff Augmentation solutions. His industry experience includes working for a Fortune 500 Company where he won their CFO Award for leadership. 

Chuck started Peerless to be able to provide his clients with an authentic and customized approach to what their needs are. He prides himself on being able to pivot to his clients’ needs; whether it’s a retained search, contingent or a short-term project resource. He can help his clients navigate the market and find the right technical and cultural fit. 

Chuck graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Finance. In his spare time, Chuck enjoys spending time with his two children, is an avid scuba diver and traveler, likes to golf but wishes golf liked him, watching Ohio State, investing, reading and exercising. Rob Cerulo


Manager of Recruiting

Rob has 14 years of business development and recruiting experience across multiple industries. In 2007, he began his career selling local corporate ticket packages with the Charlotte Hornets and grew into a national account sales role at the St. Louis Blues. Rob leaned on his unique sports industry revenue generating experiences by starting a consulting firm in the ticketing space. His clientele was predominately D1 college athletic programs looking to evolve outdated ticket practices into models better fitting everchanging consumer market trends.

Rob and his wife moved back to Charlotte in 2018; a place they always planned to call home again. At this time, he began a career in recruiting as it aligned with his desire to make a societal impact through his work. Rob leans on his relationship driven approach to assess the best fits for his clients and candidates alike. He has expertise recruiting top talent in the IT, Cybersecurity, and Finance/Accounting space.

Rob is a graduate of Butler University and an avid baseball fan. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring and experiencing the Carolinas through travel, good eats, and outdoor activities with his family of four.
